GIAC B8 Audi S4/S5 (3.0T) Flashloader Mobile Device

The GIAC Flashloader Mobile (FLM) Device is a pocket sized, stand alone tool that allows enthusiasts to load or remove GIAC performance programs on to their vehicle. The end user can use the device as a flashing tool, 25-channel logger, or performance mode switcher. As of now, all GTI, A3, Golf R, S3, and B8.5 S4 customers with a VIN based GIAC flash key(dealer installed flash) can now transfer their flash to the new Flashloader Mobile system.

How does this differ from the previous handheld Flashloader?

Whereas the Flashloader was simply a file switching device, the Flashloader Mobile Device is a full flashing tool. This means that you can reflash your ECU with performance files, original stock file, etc. from the comfort of your garage!

I already have a GIAC tune. How can I upgrade to the Flashloader Mobile Device?

If you already have a GIAC tuned ECU, please contact GIAC directly as there is a transfer process that must go through them.

How does the process work?

Once you order your Flashloader Mobile Device from us, there are one of two options. If you are able to read your current ECU part number (with a VagCom or similar scan tool), we will send you the Flashloader Mobile Device ready to go with your specific performance and stock files. If you are unable to send us your ECU part number upon ordering, we will send you the Flashloader Mobile Device and once you receive it, you will simply plug it in to create a read file, and we will send the necessary performance files to load onto your device.

What is the optional Race mode?

Race mode is an additional performance mode that is catered towards 100 octane, or E40 (ethanol blend). Please note that on the S3, E40 is ONLY supported on the stage 1 and stage 2 files. To run E40 on the stage 2+ file, you will need a fuel pump upgrade. Otherwise, you can take advantage of the race mode with 100 octane fuel if you are running the stage 2+ file with stock fuel pump.

What are the different stages?

Stage 1 is designed for an otherwise stock car. Mild bolt-ons such as intake and catback are also okay with the stage 1 software.

Stage 2 requires a smaller diameter supercharger pulley. While an upgraded cooling system is not required at this stage, it is recommended.

Stage 2+ requires a smaller diameter supercharger pulley, as well as a larger crankshaft pulley. We recommend a 183mm crankshaft pulley. An upgraded charge cooler system is required at this stage.

How does pricing work?

The Flashloader Mobile Device is priced at $200, plus your requested performance file(s) cost. Use our drop down menus to choose your desired performance file and view the total price. Pricing shown includes the cost of the Flashloader Mobile Device.
