2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S

March 04, 2015 Emmanuele Design

March 3, 2015 - This customer was already running GIAC's most powerful software for stock turbos. Due to the fueling capacity of the stock system, he was getting fuel cuts going over 150 mph at the airstrip racing events. Without much support for fueling upgrades on the Porsche direct injection platform, we suggested adding a supplementary methanol kit.

As this customer would be running 100% methanol and racing consistently, we did not feel that an off-the-shelf kit could offer what we wanted. We ended up spec'ing out a custom kit, consisting of a racing fuel cell that we modified with provisions for the methanol pump, stainless fuel lines throughout, hard anodized AN fittings throughout, a true fuel solenoid, inline fuel filter and a cabin mounted controller.

We hid the system almost completely out of view, running all electronic lines inside the interior panels and all fuel lines alongside the factory fuel line. We tapped the IPD y-pipe on the underside to keep the nozzles from being visible, so most onlookers would not suspect a thing. We finished off the system by installing an in-cabin controller that shows boost and methanol flow, and allows the user to adjust the flow curve on the fly. The controller fit neatly in place of the sport chrono gauge.

Keep an eye out for this unsuspecting 600+ wheel horsepower Porsche at the SoCal airstrip and drag racing events!
